Division of Genetics and Division of Seed Science and Technology constitute this school. A large number of varieties in the mandated crops including cereals, coarse grains, pulses, oilseeds, fodder and fibre crops, have been released/identifed by the divisions of this school. The released varieties are tested at different locations in the areas of their adaptation and then released for cultivation with full package of practices. The varieties developed have been well accepted by the farmers and being cultivated across India. The students of the school are well equipped and trained with the advanced breeding and crop improvement skills.
